Christmas Decorating Ideas

Tuesday, April 28th, 2009

Christmas is my favorite time of the year. I just love decorating our house while singing along carols that are being played on the radio. I also love baking cookies and brownies and eating them together with my family or my friends when they come over. Best of all, I love receiving and also giving gifts to my loved ones. However, one morning I finally got tired of the same Christmas decors. I got out of the house and searched for new Christmas decorating ideas to help me in my Christmas makeover project. I browsed through different magazines specializing in Christmas decors. After that, I visited crafts stores and malls and even discounts tores where I got a bunch of garlands and silk poinsettias which I saw in the magazine for my chosen Christmas decor idea. i also bought boxes of white lights which I like. At home, I put candles in my bedroom windows and tied garlands around them. In one article about Christmas decors, it was suggested that ornaments used for hanging in windows or just scattered around. So I put our traditional glittery ornaments in various places around our house then I bought new ornaments for the Christmas tree. I also saw one article which used silk flowers and beads. Then I strung red beads around the white strings of lights that were placed in the tree. The lights reflected the beads thus making our boring tree look positively radiant. Outside in the foyer, I wrapped the silk poinsettias I bought around the garland then hung some beads around the tall chandelier that was hanging in our foyer. Our house looks very festive and my family was very happy. so if you wake up one day and got tired of the same decors for Christmas, don’t worry. Just let your imagination run and soon your house will be magically transformed into a Christmas wonderland.
